Perfect day for Purrfect Match

When I first had the idea of finally holding a public adoption event for my network of fosters, I firmly believed that it would happen. I have always been headstrong in my endeavors for community cats. I had the audacity and I needed to pull in like-minded people to make it happen.

Purrfect Match came to be on Palm Sunday afternoon, and it was a good day to have fun.

There is a lot of work behind the scenes in organizing a 100% free adoption event. All my adoptions are at NO COST to the adopter. Our fosters have been vetted by ME (yes, I talk to them!) and have sponsors for any necessary vaccinations and procedures before adoption. An adoption form and interview is conducted. All we ask is to commit to giving our cats their best home and lives, indoors and within your reasonable budget. Ours is an advocacy and a movement made possible by so much heartful support and generosity.

We had a total of 13 cats included on the roster for this event. A total of six cats have been successfully adopted out to their forever homes, and we have a couple of pending adoption inquiries. Fingers crossed for those cats, too!

I am truly happy and grateful that I have equally crazy volunteer-friends who shared their energy and time to make this little event happen, almost smoothly. We did not open financial donations for this event because I simply had no headspace, right now, to account and write reports. We did have several in-kind donations in cat treats (see photos) and even a couple of mini cat trees which went home to a couple of fosters! I am also grateful to brands like Grab Philippines who were open to supporting our first event and to Oasy for sharing some food samples for our adoptables and community cats.

I am also very proud to say that there were zero accidents during Purrfect Match. 🥰 A scratch-free and soil-free event with cats is a success in itself, as I am very big on lessening their stress from being in a new environment!

Personally, I believe #PurrfectMatchAtCommune is a quiet success in adoptions, donations, and a fun time 🥰 Please continue to follow and support our endeavors to better community cat lives. There will be a round ✌️, perhaps next Quarter?
